Non-EU/EEA nationals

Non EU/EEA family members of non EU/EEA employees are normally in need of a valid residence permit in order to accompany the assignee to Norway. Nationals from EU/EEA countries are in need of a Proof of Registration if their assignment will last for more than 3 months in Norway.
Family members of EU/EEA nationals that are not themselves EU/EEA nationals may qualify to be conferred EU/EEA immigration rights when accompanying the EU/EEA national to Norway. If planning to stay in Norway for more than 3 months they are in need of a Residence Card.
